CFA organises research challenge

The Cyprus Association of Financial Analysts (CFA Society Cyprus) is a pioneer, organising the prestigious international competition CFA Research Challenge 2021.

The CFA research challenge aims to promote academic learning, but also to connect knowledge with real market conditions. This is an innovative competition, where students of Cypriot universities are invited to analyse a business model, presenting their proposal to an audience, after first submitting it to a special committee.

The final will take place online on Friday, February 26, and is attended by students from the University of Cyprus, UCLan Cyprus, Neapolis University Paphos and the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM).

In this year’s CFA research challenge 2021, the participants were invited to present their investment proposal, regarding the share of the company listed on the Greek stock exchange, Fourlis Holdings SA.

The winner will be the team with the highest score and will then represent Cyprus in the respective regional competition CFA Research Challenge, which will result in the team that will participate in the final international competition.

Through the various workshops conducted in collaboration with the CFA Institute and leading consulting firms, students also have the opportunity to develop techniques and skills for writing and presenting investment reports. The competition is supported by XM, PWC Cyprus, KPMG Cyprus, Deloitte Cyprus and EY CY.
