Cyprus issue, bilateral relations the focus of the Cyprus President Mr. Nicos Anastasiades visit to Russia

President Nicos Anastasiades departs today for Moscow on an official visit from 24 to 27 February during which he will hold a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and other Russian officials.

The Cypriot President, who will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides, Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism Yiorgos Lakkotrypis and Government Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides, will discuss during his meetings various bilateral and international issues of mutual concern.

According to an official press release, discussions will focus on the Cyprus issue, relations between Cyprus and Russia and ways to further enhance them, EU – Russia relations, the situation in the Ukraine and regional developments in Eastern Mediterranean.
