Cyprus is Important Partner for Jordan as per Abdullah Ensour:

Prime Minister of Jordan, Abdullah Ensour, has – according to the Jordan News Agency – stressed that Jordan is keen on developing ties with the Cyprus, recognising the island as being an important partner and neighbour, pointing to the recent mutual visits of officials in order to increase bilateral cooperation.

Speaking after receiving Cypriot Parliament Speaker, Yiannakis Omirou, and the accompanying delegation in the presence of Jordanian Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Khalid Kalaldeh, the Prime Minister highlighted the reforms carried out by Jordan during the past three years in terms of strengthening the democratic process. He said that the wisdom in managing and leading the country on the basis of democracy and increasing the participation of citizens in decision-making made Jordan a stable state in a turbulent region.

The Cypriot official said that Jordan-Cyprus relations are deep and historical while referring to principles the two countries shared and considered them a gate for security, stability and cooperation in the region. Omirou, meanwhile, expressed Cyprus' interest in enhancing cooperation with Jordan in energy, especially natural gas, in light of the memorandum of understanding that two countries have recently signed, expressing his conviction that all the parties in the Cypriot parliament will approve the agreements, which will be signed between the two countries in that sector. He said: "We share your concern about the number of refugees Jordan hosts," and stressed that the Cypriot Parliament will address the European Parliament to support the Kingdom in shouldering the burden.
