President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, is set to visit both Cyprus and Spain on an official trip between April 29 and 30. During his visit to Cyprus, he will hold contacts with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades.

El-Sisi will also attend a summit in which delegations of Cyprus, Greece and Egypt will conduct extended discourse on topics of mutual interest. Both President Anastasiades and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will also participate in the event.

Following their meeting, the three leaders will hold a press conference, followed by a banquet hosted by the Cypriot President in honour of el-Sisi and his accompanying delegation.

The Egyptian President’s visit to Cyprus and his meeting with the Cypriot President and Greek Prime Minister comes in the context of exemplary relations between the three countries, Egypt’s Presidential Spokesman AlaaYoussef noted in statements made to the press.

Following his Cyprus visit, el-Sisi will head for Spain following an invitation by King Felipe VI.
