The past few years have seen major changes and improvement to Paphos and the surrounding areas and the trend is continuing. The new terminal building at the airport is a huge improvement for passengers and operators alike.

The sea front area surrounding the harbour has been pedestrianised and is now a delightful area to enjoy a pleasant stroll throughout the year. Work is well under way to complete the coastal path from Coral Bay through to Geroskipou and many other projects are nearing completion.

The mains sewage system is to be upgraded at a cost of €120 million and the extension to the ring road around the town is continuing at pace. In addition a new dual carriageway will link Paphos to the airport thereby reducing vehicle numbers on the tourist and commuter routes.

The government have also stated the 31 kilometre section of the Paphos – Polis highway is now a matter of priority. The road will be the springboard for an increase in tourist development in the north-west of the island.
