NIKI Increases Frequency of Vienna-Paphos Flight

NIKI, the Austria-based airline and a part of the airberlin group, has announced the increase in frequency of its new route between Vienna and Paphos. Officially launched on February 24 2015 and operated every Tuesday, the flight will become bi-weekly as of April 2. This is expected to add an annual capacity of 12,000 seats to Cyprus.

The new route, which follows on from the introduction of twice-weekly flights from Vienna to Larnaca in 2014, will open up the Paphos market for incoming tourism from Austria and southern Germany, as well as feed outbound traffic via Vienna to connections for Cypriot holidaymakers and businesspeople.

The network’s popular destinations are Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover, Munich, Berlin, Zurich, Rome, Milan and Helsinki. As part of the airberlin group, NIKI was granted membership of the oneworld alliance on 20 March 2012, enabling the Austrian carrier to offer its customers a worldwide route network
