↪ The European Capital of Culture – Pafos2017 hosts Ethno Cyprus 2016 in the context of its thematic “Linking Continents – Bridging Cultures”. Thirty-five young traditional instrument virtuosos from European and Arab countries (Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt and Jordan), meet on stage to explore the common cultural identity of European and Arab civilizations.
↪ This summer the Cyprus Theatre Organisation brings the old Greek cinema on the theatre stage with Alecos Sakellarios’ well-known work, directed by Achilleas Grammatikopoulos.

↪ The European Capital of Culture – Pafos2017 becomes a bridge for older and new musicians of the Philharmonic, who tell their story in this historic music band of Pafos. Personal stories come together in a mosaic of dozens of years, reflecting the glorious history of the Philharmonic in Pafos. Music, narratives and an exhibition of photos and music instruments in a celebration of the town and its people.

Yasmin Levy became known internationally with her interpretations of Sephardic music, which counts more than 500 years of history and has endowed us with Ladino sounds (Spanish-Jewish music) and flamenco.

With lanterns and music the children will walk and dance in formations.
