Major private projects to be carried out in Paphos district Members of the Paphos’ Commerce and Industry Chamber had important meetings in order to promote major private projects in Paphos District, in an effort to find alternative funding sources.

The President and the Director of the Chamber, Andreas Demitriades and Kendeas Zampyrinis had a meeting with the Senior Finance Officer for Greece – Cyprus of the European Investment Bank, Nicos Yiampides at the Ministry of Finance. 

During the meeting, the members of the Chamber were briefed on Juncker’s plan provisions and the fixed period for the completion of the various legislative arrangements. Juncker’s plan provides for the establishment of a European Fund of €315 billion to be exploited in various private projects. 

The Head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Libor Krkoska, is to attend a meeting that will take place at Chamber’s offices in Paphos on Monday, July 6. A full briefing on the business plans is expected on the sidelines of the upcoming meeting, regarding the implementation of major development projects in the private sector.
