Paphos on the top international tourist destination list among Greek travellers.

Paphos and Protaras are ranked at number seven and nine respectively among Greek travellers' top international tourist destinations at an average accommodation price of €125 and €179 per night, according to a survey carried out by website.
Results show that for Greeks top tourist destinations abroad include Rome, Istanbul, Barcelona, London, Paris, Florence, Paphos, Venice, Protaras and Milan.

Moreover, Paphos appears to be the third cheapest destination at €125 per night behind Istanbul (€109) and Rome (€115).
Meanwhile, Protaras is one of the most expensive at €179 per night but still popular, beaten in price only by Venice (€186) and London (€209).

It is noted that the list of popular destinations derive from the search engine on from January 1 until June 15 for the months of July and August this year.

Average online accommodation prices for July and August result from an online comparison of prices on trivago's 47 platforms and information from more than 150 different booking sites.

In terms of domestic tourism, number one destination for Greeks is Athens, followed by the islands of Chania, Skiathos, Mykonos, Adamas, Fira and Rhodes as well as Thessaloniki, Skopelos and Perissa.

The cheapest destination is Thessaloniki at €73 per night and the most expensive is Mykonos at an average accommodation cost of €242 per night.
