Paphos sparkles as Mayor illuminates Kennedy Square Christmas Tree
The city of Paphos officially embraced the festive season with the grand illumination of the Christmas tree in Kennedy Square. The ceremonial lighting took place on December 3rd and marked the beginning of a joyous holiday season for the community.
The towering Christmas tree, standing at an impressive 12 metres, adorned with 17,000 twinkling lights and adorned with hundreds of vibrant red baubles, transformed Kennedy Square into a dazzling winter wonderland. The event drew a large and enthusiastic crowd, all eager to witness the magical moment.
Adding to the festive ambiance, the renowned band Onirama took the stage, providing a lively concert that resonated throughout the square. The musical performance created a special atmosphere, infusing the air with holiday spirit and captivating the audience.
The evening’s programme featured a delightful musical Christmas performance by the Philharmonic of the Municipality of Paphos and the percussion group of the Paphos Music School. The culmination of the event came with the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree and city decorations, casting a radiant glow across Kennedy Square.
As the night concluded, the Onirama band took the stage once more, treating the audience to a spectacular festive concert that left everyone in high spirits.
