My early involvement with the group, even before university, combined with my specialized studies, gave me a well-rounded understanding of our operations. I always knew I would return to the business, and I continued to learn and grow with that goal in mind—something that has played a defining role in shaping who I am today.
I do not, in any way, see the responsibility of carrying the business forward as a burden. To me, it is both an opportunity and a clear path ahead—built on the foundations laid by those who came before us and by our teams.
Today, more than ever, Cyprus has evolved into an international business hub, and Cypriot companies must compete and keep pace with global standards. As the younger generation—more adaptable and responsive to change—we have a responsibility to ensure the group’s continuity and growth in this environment, while also setting an example for other Cypriot businesses to follow.
Sophia G. Leptos
I earned a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the City University of London, along with two MSc degrees: one in Digital Marketing from King’s College London and another in Real Estate from the City University of London.
Today, I work in the executive management of the Leptos Group, a diversified business group.
From early on, I knew I would work in the group, aiming to be part of its continuity and to actively contribute to its future development.
Being part of the leadership of a major group with a 65-year history, built on solid foundations, is particularly meaningful to me—and it naturally comes with a strong sense of responsibility to continue its successful trajectory. In a world that is constantly evolving, it is essential to act proactively rather than reactively, moving away from outdated practices and stereotypes.
As young professionals, we bring a fresh perspective and a different way of thinking, actively contributing to positive change and growth.
Our vision is for the group to continue thriving, constantly evolving while remaining progressive and innovative, and making a meaningful contribution to our community and society at large.
