What is your vision for the future of Leptos Group in the ever-changing economic environment?
The Leptos Group, with dynamic business growth for over 65 years, has achieved a leading position through its multidimensional activities in the sectors of Land Development – Leptos Estates, Tourism – Leptos Calypso Hotels, Education – Neapolis University of Paphos, Project Management – Vesta Holidays Ltd, as well as Healthcare – Iasis Paphos Private Hospital.
In the context of implementing our vision and our extroverted development strategy, Leptos Group has a presence in 75 countries, projecting the modern image of Cyprus internationally.
Leptos Estates is a major driving force behind a multitude of luxury, large-scale projects in Cyprus and Greece. With a proven track record of success and a portfolio that includes over 25,000 satisfied homeowners and over 350 completed projects, Leptos Estates continues to adapt its strategy to the evolving real estate market.
The Neapolis Eco City projects in Paphos and Costa Nopia in Chania, Crete, are new flagship developments of the Leptos Group, the fruit of many years of strategic planning and preparation that have led us to where we are today. These are modern, large-scale projects that combine sustainability, innovation and high-quality infrastructure, creating integrated communities with an international orientation. These projects further strengthen the Group’s dynamic presence and are an important step towards the realization of its long-term vision.
In the tourism sector, the Coral Beach Hotel & Resort, Thalassa Boutique Hotel and Leptos Panorama Hotel have completed recent renovations, upgrading the hospitality experience, while the Eleon Hotel in Chania, Crete is under construction, further strengthening the Group’s dynamic presence in quality hospitality in both Cyprus and Greece.
In the health sector, the Iasis Paphos Private Hospital has recently been further upgraded and expanded with modern facilities and state-of-the-art medical equipment, substantially enhancing the quality of services provided and patient safety.
At the same time, in the field of education, Neapolis University of Paphos is dynamically developing its international presence through strategic partnerships and joint degree programs with leading European and international universities, offering modern and competitive academic options.
All of the above initiatives contribute substantially to the realization of the Leptos Group’s vision and to ensuring its long-term success, confirming that, despite the challenges, its course remains steadily upward, with strong prospects for further expansion in Cyprus and abroad.
How are you adapting your strategy to respond to this?
Our strategy is based on our experience, which now exceeds 65 years, as well as our know-how. Also, the professionalism and team effort of the people of the Group, the international sales service network that we maintain, our strategic investments in the prime land market, the quality product, and our effective customer service, are all important factors that, together with careful planning, will support our effort to further expand/enlarge our activities and to achieve our goals.
What do you consider to be the biggest challenges facing the Cypriot economy today?
As Leptos Group, we recognize that the Cypriot and international economy is currently facing a number of significant challenges, mainly due to geopolitical developments and pressures on energy and construction costs. At the same time, issues such as the lack of skilled human resources and international economic fluctuations are affecting the business environment.
However, Cyprus has proven over time that it possesses resilience and adaptability. We have gone through various difficult periods in the past and, through collective effort and strategic cooperation between the public and private sectors, we have managed to overcome the challenges.
We remain optimistic that, with proper planning and strategy, investments in innovation and maintaining the confidence of international markets, the Cypriot economy will continue to grow. Leptos Group is committed, as it has been doing for 65 years of our operation, to actively contribute to this path, enhancing growth and creating value for the country’s society and economy.
How do you define effective leadership in the modern era?
The Group’s leadership position is based on solid foundations, the vision of its founder Michalakis Leptos, the passion and professionalism of its people, who exceed 1500 people, making us one of the largest employers on the island, the international sales network, the offer of a variety of quality products, the large reserves of land within development zones, its extensive and long experience from multiple projects in various sectors and the integrated provision of support services. However, the main strength of the Leptos Group is its overall perception of the broad business area in which it operates. The constant search for new perspectives makes the Group a leader in the sectors in which it operates.
How do you integrate sustainability and responsible development into your group’s strategy?
Leptos Group received significant recognition for its efforts in promoting sustainability, as evidenced by the multiple awarding of the “Gold Certificate of Award” at the Environmental Awards Ceremony organized by the Cyprus Recycling Organization.
Projects such as the internationally awarded Leptos Kamares Village, a new settlement of 1100 villas that continues to develop with absolute respect for the environment, are one of the examples of design and development.
Furthermore, our Group, with the pioneering project Neapolis Eco City, is setting the bar high for a future where sustainable and green development will be at the center. Neapolis Eco City is one of the most ambitious and pioneering projects of the Leptos Group, combining innovation with sustainability and quality of life. It is a large-scale integrated development project that aspires to create a “green” city with smart infrastructure, offering residents and visitors a unique living experience.
What is the role of technology and digital transformation in the operation and development of your company?
The development of technology and Artificial Intelligence is transforming the real estate industry and beyond, improving efficiency and effectiveness. Our Group uses advanced software for architectural design and construction, while integrating technology into its internal processes for optimal project management and more generally internal operation and management.
Our digital presentations highlight projects with high quality and innovation. Our actions focus on leveraging technology to offer leading solutions to clients, enhance the sustainability of our projects and increase productivity in various sectors.
